EverQuest II Overview

A sequel to the extremely popular, EverQuest, EverQuest II is a futuristic MMORPG, taking place in a fantasy world 500 years later than the original Everquest story. Create your own character in the world of Norrath, where you can explore, indulge in exciting journeys, and gain currency and experience. With the same tradeskill system as the original EverQuest, EverQuest II keeps some of the same main aspects that made EverQuest so popular, while incorporating state of the art graphic updates and expansions. Choose between 19 races and 24 classes, as you advance up to 90 levels of interactive game play. EverQuest II is a great addition to the legendary EverQuest, offering its own individuality, while keeping tradition alive.

EverQuest II is Sony Online Entertainment’s second stand alone game that is set in the EverQuest universe. It is not a direct sequel, as the game takes place in a parallel universe rather than after the events of the original EverQuest. The game was originally released back in 2004, but was eventually re-released in July 2010 as a free to play game with a cash shop.

Like the first EverQuest, the graphics are pretty much on the same level. Still for me, one of the best MMO game Sony launched. If you played the first EverQuest, you will surely appreciate the second one.

EverQuest II was a half-success for me. It kept my attention for 3 or 4 months solely because I was an avid EverQuest I player. A lot of the names and places were familiar and it was fun to play an updated version of the original. Unfortunately, a lot of other people did not feel the same way and the game kind of died off.
